 The
John Counts
room is the perfect setting for gatherings before, during, or
after an event. Located near the catering kitchen, this room
lends itself to easy service and setup for banquets, dinners,
and meetings. The John Counts Room can also be split into two
separate rooms, offering an array of possibilities; it is suitable
for parties, meetings and pre- or post-event parties.
This room has its own entrance on the West Side of the building
and has its own restroom facilities. It is located on the
event level of the building allowing for easy access to Mitchell
Center events.

Globe Grand Lobby near the Waterman
Globe
The Globe Grand Lobby is the new home of the Waterman globe, a Mobile
icon dating back to 1948 and has held a place in the memories
of many Mobilians. This area offers an open atmosphere with
windows reaching up 50 - 60 feet, needing no illumination due
to the natural light it invites in. The Grand Lobby is ideal
for dinners, luncheons, receptions, or post-event gatherings.

Meeting Rooms/Media Rooms |

The Mitchell Center has three classrooms on the event level
that can be used for media, speakers, sign in and other pre-
and post-event activities. The biggest of the three classrooms
is 35 1/2' x 56' , fully carpeted with video and audio capability.
It has two entrances on opposite sides, allowing one or both
to be restricted for any type of security needs.
